Is bladder cancer life threatening?

Bladder cancer can be life threatening the longer it goes without treatment. If the cancer is treated early, there is an extremely good chance of survival. In about 85% of cases the cancer is diagnosed while still within the bladder. In only about 4% of cases does it spread to distant parts of the body.
