Hi. I'm Dr. Miller, here with some delicious ways to breathe better if you have asthma or COPD.
What you eat can make life easier for your lungs. Load up on these five foods. Enjoy your coffee, but go for the caffeinated variety
if you're OK with it. Studies suggest that caffeine can help open bronchial tubes for up to four hours. That's good because they become constricted
when you have asthma or COPD. Eat more oranges. A preliminary study found that kids with asthma wheeze less when they ate vitamin C rich fruits,
such as oranges. That's because vitamin C has anti-inflammatory properties. The vitamin E in nuts may help open your airways
and reduce inflammation. Onions are loaded with flavonoids, which help fight inflammation. They also can protect the lining of your lungs
and bronchial tubes from damage caused by pollution. Enjoy some yogurt, especially the kind that contains probiotics, beneficial bacteria
that have been shown to reduce inflammation. That's especially good if you're breathing problems are triggered by allergies. I'm Dr. miller.
