What risks are associated with arrhythmia?

A normal, regular heartbeat keeps blood flowing steadily through the heart, brain and the rest of the body. When this normal heart rhythm is interrupted, the resulting abnormal rhythm, known as an arrhythmia, disrupts blood flow and has been associated with health problems ranging from dizziness and fatigue to stroke and sudden death.

Arrhythmia can cause anxiety, fainting spells and, in more severe cases, stroke, and loss of consciousness.
