Who should take Aromasin?

Aromasin (exemestane) is used to treat early or advanced estrogen-dependent breast cancer in post-menopausal women, and is also given to women who have undergone other treatments for cancer. Aromasin works by reducing or stopping estrogen production. Some types of breast tumors need estrogen to grow, so blocking production of this hormone helps shrink them.
