How should I take Harvoni?

Keith Roach, MD
Internal Medicine
The usual dose is 1 tablet once daily. You should be sure to tell your doctor of any kidney disease, as this may affect the dosage or even your ability to take it.
You should take Harvoni (ledipasvir and sofosbuvir) exactly as your doctor prescribes it. Harvoni is generally taken once per day, with or without food, for eight to 24 weeks. If you miss a dose and realize it the same day, take it as soon as you remember, but don't take Harvoni more than once a day. Take it at your regular time the next day. If you take too much, call your doctor or go to the emergency room. Don't stop Harvoni without talking to your doctor first. Let your doctor know if you have any side effects that are bothersome or won't go away.
