What are the side effects of calcitriol?

Calcitriol may cause an allergic reaction. Symptoms include: swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat and difficulty breathing, and require immediate medical attention. Other side effects include: slow growth in children, frequent thirst, frequent urination, lower back pain, change in heart rate, weakness, drowsiness, loss of weight, loss of height, bone pain, nausea, constipation and dry mouth. If you notice these side effects, it may be necessary to seek medical attention.
