Does gemcitabine interact with other medications?

Gemcitabine interacts with a few medicines. If you are taking anticoagulants or hydantoins, you should let your doctor know. These medications can interact with gemcitabine and a dosage change may be necessary in order to prevent adverse reactions as well as effectiveness of both drugs. Alcohol can also interact with gemcitabine and increase your chance of drowsiness. Do not have any vaccinations (e.g., the measles or flu shots) without talking to your doctor.
