How does Alimta interact with other medications or foods?

Alimta may interact with a small number of other medications, mostly non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs include over-the-counter medications, such as ibuprofen (Motrin and Advil) and naproxen (Aleve), as well as prescription medications, such as diclofenac (Voltaren), diflunisal (Dolobid), etodolac (Lodine), flurbiprofen (Ansaid), indomethacin (Indocin), ketoprofen (Orudis), ketorolac (Toradol), mefenamic acid (Ponstel), meloxicam (Mobic), nabumetone (Relafen) and piroxicam (Feldene). Alimta may also interact with probenecid (Benemid), immunosuppressants, antiviral medications and antibiotics.
