Is aldesleukin safe for women who are nursing or pregnant?

Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take aldesleukin. Pregnancy is not recommended during chemotherapy so you should take extra precautions during treatment and for several weeks afterward to avoid becoming pregnant. Your doctor can discuss reliable birth control methods with you.
