Who should not use sumatriptan injection?

Do not use sumatriptan injection if you have ever had an allergic or other reaction to sumatriptan or other medications that affect serotonin. You should not use sumatriptan injection if you are currently taking certain antidepressant medications, including monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI). Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not use sumatriptan injection. Let your doctor know before using sumatriptan injection if you have any heart or circulatory conditions, ischemic bowel disease or serious liver disease. You should not take sumatriptan injection to prevent migraine. Tell your doctor about any other medications you are taking.
