Who should not use Imitrex nasal spray?

People who have an allergy to sumatriptan or any other triptan should not use it. Anyone with a history of heart disease or heart attack or stroke, severe high blood pressure or circulatory problems should not use Imitrex nasal spray. People who have ischemic bowel disease or severe liver disease should not use Imitrex. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Women who are pregnant should not use Imitrex nasal spray without first talking to their doctor.
