Common side effects of felodipine include: nausea; dizziness; heartburn; headaches or lightheadedness; diarrhea or constipation; fast heartbeat; feeling warm (flushing); weakness; and some gum swelling. Speak with your doctor if these side effects become severe. More serious side effects require immediate medical attention. These include: an allergic reaction, such as facial swelling or swelling in the arms or legs, rashes and labored breathing; heart problems or irregularities; chest pain; fainting; impotence; and difficulty swallowing.
