What is Edarbi?

Edarbi (azilsartan) is prescribed to treat high blood pressure. Edarbi is in a class of antihypertension drugs called angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARB). They block the action of angiotensin II, a hormone in your body that normally causes blood vessels to constrict and raises blood pressure.

If you have high blood pressure, taking Edarbi alone or in combination with another medication allows your blood vessels to relax, improving blood flow and reducing your risk of stroke and heart attack.
