What forms of Diovan HCT are available?

The blood pressure drug Diovan HCT (valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide) is available as an oral tablet. It comes in a number of different formulations that offer different strengths of each of its active ingredients: valsartan, which lowers blood pressure by relaxing and dilating blood vessels, and hydrochlorothiazide, which helps the body excrete excess fluid and salt (sodium).

Diovan HCT tablets come in five different strengths. The first number indicates how many milligrams (mg) of valsartan are in the pill and the second number indicates the amount of hydrochlorothiazide:
  • 80 mg/12.5 mg
  • 160 mg/12.5 mg
  • 160 mg/25 mg
  • 320 mg/12.5 mg
  • 320 mg/25 mg
Diovan HCT tablets are packaged in a container or blister pack.
