What should I know before taking aliskiren and valsartan?

Aliskiren and valsartan (Valturna) can cause serious harm or even death to a fetus if taken during pregnancy. Because of this, women who are able to get pregnant should use a reliable form of birth control while taking Valturna. If you're taking Valturna and you think you may be pregnant, talk to your doctor immediately. It is not known whether Valturna is excreted into breast milk. Talk to you doctor regarding breastfeeding while on Valturna.
