Aliskiren-hydrochlorothiazide is a combination high blood pressure medication sold under the brand name Tekturna HCT. Aliskiren is a direct renin inhibitor, which lowers blood pressure by causing the blood vessels to relax. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic, which lowers blood pressure by causing the kidneys to remove excess fluid from the blood system.
