Can I use Atacand if I am breastfeeding?

Don't take the blood pressure medication Atacand (candesartan) if you're breastfeeding. Animal studies suggest that the drug may pass into breast milk. Consult with your doctor about whether you should stop breastfeeding in order to take Atacand or instead stop taking Atacand until your baby is weaned.
