What are the side effects of isradipine?

The most common side effects of isradipine are dizziness, lightheadedness, decreased alertness and slower reaction times. Talk to your doctor if these side effects become persistent or worsen. Additionally, this medication can cause headaches, weakness or drowsiness, warmth or redness in the skin, skin rash or itching, nausea or vomiting and diarrhea. More serious side effects of isradipine include: bloating or rapid weight gain or loss, swelling in your arms or legs, extreme dizziness, difficulty breathing, increased heart rate or irregular heartbeats, wheezing and pain in the chest. Talk to your doctor if you experience any of these side effects. If you experience signs of an allergic reaction to isradipine, such as swelling around your face or throat, hives or intense difficulty breathing, seek emergency medical attention.
