What are the side effects of clonidine tablets?

Side effects may include dry mouth, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, heart palpitations or changes in heart rate, loss of sex drive, and erection problems in men. Missing doses may cause high blood pressure. Side effects of the clonidine skin patch may include redness, itching, and an allergic skin reaction where the patch is applied.
