What are the side effects of clonidine injection?

Common side effects of clonidine injection (Duraclon) include headache, fatigue, constipation, dry mouth or nasal passages, and sleep difficulties. Tell your doctor if these symptoms persist or become severe. More serious side effects include allergic reaction (swelling of your lips, tongue or face; chest or throat tightness; difficulty breathing; skin redness hives, rash or itching); mood changes (anxiety or depression); swelling in your extremities; irregular heartbeat; urinary problems; nausea; dizziness or fainting; fever; or sweating. Also be on the lookout for signs of infection at the site of injection.
