How do I take candesartan and hydrochlorothiazide?

Candesartan and hydrochlorothiazide (Atacand HCT), a medication used to treat high blood pressure, comes as a tablet that you take by mouth -- usually once or twice a day. You can take it with or without food.

If your doctor prescribes candesartan and hydrochlorothiazide for you, carefully read and follow all directions on your prescription label. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain anything that seems unclear.
