Does diltiazem interaction with other medications or foods?

Diltiazem can interact with many over-the-counter (OTC) and prescription drugs to cause side effects. For instance, diltiazem should not be used along with beta blockers to treat high blood pressure (such as atenolol, nadolol and sotalol); sedatives that contain benzodiazepine (diazepam, midazolam and triazolam); buspirone; carbamazepine; cimetidine; cyclosporine; digoxin; lovastatin; and quinidine. Avoid drinking grapefruit juice with diltiazem.
