Can I take Micardis if I am taking digoxin?

If you're taking digoxin, which is used to treat heart failure and abnormal heart rhythms, make sure your doctor knows before you begin treatment with the high blood pressure medication Micardis (telmisartan). Micardis can raise blood levels of digoxin. If you do take Micardis while on digoxin, your doctor will likely monitor your blood levels of digoxin when you start treatment, during any dosage adjustments and after you stop taking the drug.
