Who should not take betaxolol?

People who are allergic to any ingredient in betaxolol and people with certain heart conditions, should not take this drug. Before using let your doctor know if you are allergic to any other beta blockers. People with diabetes, asthma, heart, thyroid or respiratory disease may not be able to use this drug. If you plan to have surgery, your doctor may recommend you gradually stop the drug before surgery. Before using this drug, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It's not clear if this drug can harm a fetus or pass to a baby through breast milk.
