What is metipranolol?

Metipranolol is the name of the active ingredient in a prescription medication eye drop (brand name Optipranolol) that is used to reduce ocular (eye) pressure in patients with ocular hypertension and glaucoma. The drops work by increasing the production of fluid in the eye, and less fluid means lower pressure.
