Echothiophate (brand name Phospholine Iodide) is the name of the active ingredient in a prescription ophthalmic solution eye drop used to reduce the ocular (eye) pressure in people with ocular hypertension and glaucoma. The drops work by increasing the outflow of fluid from the eye, and less fluid means lower pressure.
