What are the side effects of carbachol intraocular solution?

Carbachol intraocular solution usually does not cause side effects, but on rare occasions it may cause:

  • clouding of the cornea
  • bulging eyes
  • detached retina
  • sweating
  • flushing
  • abdominal cramps
  • headache
  • tightness in the bladder

Symptoms of an allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, hives, swelling of the lips, tongue, throat or face, itching or tightness in the chest require emergency treatment. There may be other side effects not listed here, so report any unusual side effects to your doctor.
