How does Lumigan interact with other medications or foods?

Because Lumigan is instilled in the eye, from which little is absorbed into the bloodstream, interactions between Lumigan and other medications or foods are unlikely. However, using more that one dose of Lumigan per day can interfere with the pressure lowering effect. This can also happen if Latisse (bimatoprost for hypotrichosis), Xalatan (latanoprost) or Travatan Z (travoprost) are used with Lumigan.

Using other drops in your eye at the same time as Lumigan may dilute the Lumigan and its effect. If you need to use other eye drops while using Lumigan, you should wait about five minutes to let the Lumigan be absorbed. Be sure that the doctor who prescribes Lumigan for you knows about all other prescribed medications, supplements or over-the-counter medications that you take.
