How should I take dorzolamide and timolol?

Take dorzolamide and timolol exactly as prescribed by your doctor, as different patients may need different dosages.

Follow the steps below to take dorzolamide and timolol:

  • Wash your hands.
  • Tilt your head back and gently use a finger to pull your lower lid from your eye to form a pocket.
  • Squeeze a drop of dorzolamide and timolol into this pocket and close your eye.
  • Gently press a fingertip to the inside corner of your eye for a minute or two, keeping your eye closed.
  • Carefully blot excess medicine from around your eye with a clean tissue.
  • Wash your hands again.
