Betoptic S treats glaucoma by reducing fluid pressure in the eyes. High pressure in the eyes can be caused by a number of conditions including an over-production of a fluid called aqueous humor, or a problem with its drainage. As part of the group of eye medications called beta-blockers, Betoptic inhibits the production of aqueous fluid.
