How does Betoptic S interact with other medications or food?

Tell your  doctor if you are taking any of the following before you start taking Betoptic S:

  • Adrenergic psychotropic drugs
  • MAO inhibitors, such as phenelzine
  • Antidiabetic drugs
  • Oral beta-blockers, such as propranolol or atenolol

Your doctor may prescribe several eye medications along with Betoptic S. However, for Betoptic S to be effective and to prevent adverse reactions, it is important that you wait at least 10 minutes prior to or after taking Betoptic S, before using another eye drug. Betoptic S is not known to interact with food.
