Who should take anidulafungin?

Anidulafungin (Eraxis) is a chemical that kills fungi, such as yeast or Candida. You should take anidulafungin if you have candidemia or these forms of fungal infections with Candida:
  • infection of the stomach, usually from an abscess or peritonitis (a serious condition)
  • infection of the esophagus, which is the tube that connects your mouth and stomach
