Who should not take itraconazole capsules?

Anyone with an allergy to itraconazole (Sporanox) or to fluconazole (Diflucan), ketoconazole (Nizoral) or similar drugs, should not take itraconazole. Patients with congestive heart failure should not take itraconazole. It should be avoided during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. Itraconazole can have dangerous interactions with many other medications, so tell your doctor about all medications you are taking.
