What are the possible side effects when taking amphotericin B?

Amphotericin B may have serious side effects.  These can be more common with the first few doses, but be sure to talk with your doctor or health care provider about any sudden or serious side effects, such as fever, fast breathing or dizziness. Other possible side effects can be chills, headache, nausea or vomiting, blurred vision, low levels of magnesium or potassium or fainting. If you have not had any of these symptoms with previous doses of amphotericin B and they suddenly occur, be sure to contact your doctor immediately.
