What is Vfend (voriconazole)?

Vfend is a prescription antifungal medication that is used to treat fungal infections, such as yeast infections. It may be prescribed in situations where other antifungal treatments have not been well tolerated.

Also known under the generic name voriconazole, Vfend is available in tablets, intravenous solution and a powder made into a suspension. Because Vfend tablets have lactose, it is important that you first consult your doctor if you are galactose intolerant or have Lapp-lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.
