What should I know before using clotrimazole vaginal cream?

If you are pregnant, do not use clotrimazole vaginal cream without first talking to your doctor. Use all of the medication, even if symptoms disappear before treatment is complete. If you are using clotrimazole vaginal cream, do not use tampons or douches. Wear cotton underwear while being treated. Use a sanitary pad while being treated with clotrimazole, as some of the medication may leak from the vagina.
