What are the side effects of micafungin?

Side effects of micafungin use may include: pain, tenderness or swelling at the injection site; mild nausea, vomiting or stomach pain; headaches; indigestion; diarrhea; constipation; insomnia; redness, warmth or tingly feelings under the skin; skin rash and mild itching. More serious side effects may include fever, chills, body aches and flu-like symptoms; easy bleeding or bruising; swelling of the hands or feet; pale or yellowed skin; dark urine; confusion; weakness; increased, decreased or no urination; uneven heart rate; muscle weakness or limpness; extreme thirst; leg discomfort; stomach pain; itching; clay-colored stools; jaundice; drowsiness; mood changes; increased thirst; loss of appetite; and nausea or vomiting. An allergic reaction to this drug is possible. Signs of allergy include trouble breathing, hives or swelling of the face, tongue, lips or throat. Seek emergency medical attention if you experience any severe side effects. Tell your doctor right away if any symptoms persist or become severe.
