What are the side effects of Gris-PEG?

Gris-PEG can cause side effects in some people. Common side effects include: skin rash, difficulty sleeping, exhaustion, dizziness, headaches, upset stomach, nausea, diarrhea and vomiting. In rare cases, Gris-PEG may cause severe allergic reaction that leads to difficulty breathing, swelling in the face or throat and hives. If you develop these symptoms, call 911 for emergency medical help.

Gris-PEG also may cause new oral or vaginal fungal infections, especially if used for an extended time. Talk to your doctor if you develop unusual vaginal discharge or white patches in your mouth. Other serious side effects include: joint or muscle pain, confusion or other mental changes and hearing changes. Additional side effects are possible, so talk to your doctor if any new or unusual symptoms develop while you are taking this medication.
