Who should not take Grifulvin V (griseofulvin)?

Do not take Grifulvin V (griseofulvin) if you:
  • have experienced a previous allergic reacion to any ingredients in this medication
  • have porphyria or liver disease
Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of using this medication if you have lupus or are pregnant or breastfeeding, since it is not known whether griseofulvin will harm an unborn baby.

Griseofulvin may affect sperm production. It is recommended that you avoid fathering a child during treatment with griseofulvin and for six months following therapy.
