Should I let my doctor know I am using butoconazole nitrate?

You should talk to your doctor before using butoconazole nitrate. Certain conditions,  including diabetes, HIV, AIDS, fever, foul-smelling vaginal discharge, and abdominal pain, may prohibit you from using butoconazole nitrate. In addition, because butoconazole nitrate may harm a developing fetus, you should let your doctor know if you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant. You should also talk to your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
