How does anidulafungin work?

Anidulafungin (Eraxis) is a chemical called an antifungal antibiotic. Antifungal antibiotics kill fungi, such as yeast or Candida. When fungi multiply, anidulafungin prevents them from making new cell walls. Without cell walls, the fungi die. Anidulafungin is used mainly to treat fungal infections of the blood, stomach and esophagus.
