How does AmBisome interact with other medications or food?

While receiving AmBisome you should know that aminoglycoside antibiotics, cancer chemotherapy medicines, cyclosporine and pentamidine all interact with AmBisome and increase the likelihood of suffering kidney problems. Other medications that may interact with AmBisome include: azole antifungals, leukocyte transfusions, corticosteroids and corticotropin, digoxin, flucytosine, skeletal muscle relaxants and zidovudine. Before starting AmBisome be sure to tell your doctor about any other medications, vitamins or supplements you are currently taking.
