What are the side effects of Emend?

Side effects for Emend include: stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation, gas, change in appetite, hiccups, hair loss, headaches, dizziness, exhaustion, weakness, mild skin rash, ringing in the ears and insomnia. While these side effects are generally temporary and not serious, tell your doctor if any persist or become severe. Emend also can cause serious side effects, including an allergic reaction known as anaphylaxis. If you experience signs of an allergic reaction, such as swelling, hives and difficulty breathing, seek immediate medical attention. You should stop using Emend and talk to your doctor if you experience any of the following serious side effects: fainting; thirst; inability to urinate; sweating heavily; hot or dry skin; fever, aches, chills; sores in the throat or mouth. If you experience an unanticipated reaction while taking Emend, talk to your doctor immediately.
