What are the side effects of ondansetron?

Ondansetron may cause uncomfortable side effects. Some side effects that are common and usually not a cause for concern include: diarrhea or constipation, dizziness, drowsiness, fever, headaches and weakness. Other side effects may be more serious. If you experience swelling of your face or a skin rash and itching, call your doctor. You may be having an allergic reaction to ondansetron. Call your doctor if you experience anxiety or agitation, breathing difficulties, changes in urination, chest tightness, a feeling like you might pass out, fever or chills, irregular heartbeat or vision problems.
