An allergic reaction is a dangerous side effect of ondansetron hydrochloride that may be characterized by difficulty breathing, hives, or swelling of the throat, lips, tongue, and face. Serious side effects of ondansetron hydrochloride injection include fever, trouble breathing, slow heart rate, blurred vision, anxiety, shivering, temporary blindness, agitation, light headedness, fainting, or reduced urination. Contact your doctor immediately if you develop an allergic reaction or any serious side effects. Common side effects include constipation, fever, diarrhea, headache, weakness, dizziness, or drowsiness. You may also experience burning, prickling, or tingling sensation, stomach cramps, drowsiness, dry mouth, lightheadedness, abdominal pain, itching, feeling cold, unusual tiredness or weakness, skin rash, wheezing, or pain or redness at the injection site.
