Who should not take metoclopramide ODT?

Do not take metoclopramide ODT (orally disintegrating tablets), or talk to your doctor about your risks versus benefits of this medication, if you:

  •  are allergic to metoclopramide
  •  have a perforated stomach or intestine, bleeding or blockage of the stomach or intestine, an adrenal gland tumor, or epilepsy or other seizure disorder
  •  are breastfeeding, as this medication passes into breast milk
  •  have congestive heart failure, diabetes, kidney or liver disease, and depression
