What should I know about Tigan before taking it?

Prior to taking Tigan you should provide your doctor with your complete medical history, including any medical conditions you have or have ever had, and other medications and supplements you are taking. Be sure to tell your doctor if you have brain disease, dehydration, diarrhea, kidney disease, electrolyte imbalance, fever, intestinal infection or Reye's Syndrome. Combining alcohol with Tigan can increase drowsiness. Before taking Tigan it is important to tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding, pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Before taking Tigan a woman should weigh the benefits to her health against potential harm to the fetus. There are inadequate studies to determine if Tigan harms a nursing baby when passed through her breast milk. A woman should discuss with her doctor the potential risks to her baby if she breastfeeds while taking this medication.
