How should I talk to my child's doctor about prochlorperazine?

If your child's doctor wants to prescribe prochlorperazine, be sure to ask about possible side effects. Also, talk to your child's doctor about current health and medical history. Let the doctor know if your child has an infection of the brain or spine, stomach virus, chicken pox or measles. Also, tell the doctor if your child has any of the following symptoms:
  • flu-like reactions
  • weakness
  • seizures
  • yellowing skin or eyes
  • vomiting
  • lack of energy
  • confusion
  • drowsiness
  • diarrhea
  • dehydration
