Can my child take prochlorperazine?

If your child is two years of age or older, the doctor may prescribe prochlorperazine. Your child may be more sensitive to the medicine and experience the following side effects:
  • twisting or ticks
  • lack of eye movement
  • muscle spasms in his face, neck and back
  • arm and leg weakness
Talk to your child's doctor about his health, especially if he suffers from dehydration or illness, and make sure prochlorperazine is appropriate.
