What are the side effects of diphenoxylate-atropine?

Side effects of diphenoxylate and atropine, the ingredients in Lomotil, may be serious and include: stomach pain, bloating, depression, watery or bloody diarrhea, confusion, fast heart rate, decreased urination, convulsions, vomiting, numbness in the hands or feet and confusion. If you develop any of these, you should seek medical advice immediately.

Some less serious side effects include: drowsiness, headaches, dizziness, tiredness, restlessness, skin rash, itching, nausea, loss of appetite and upset stomach.
